Dr. Atul Mathur is a senior Interventional Cardiologist with over 41 years of experience.

He was the first doctor in India to perform carotid stenting in 1999, a procedure that helps prevent strokes.

He was also the first doctor in India who received a U.S. patent for a medical device used in carotid artery stenting.

Dr. Mathur used a cerebral protection device during these procedures in 2002 to increase patient safety.

He is known for performing complex heart procedures and is an expert in endovascular treatments like carotid stenting, aortic graft stenting, and angioplasty for blocked arteries and veins, structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, LAA closure, balloon valvotomy, and adult VSD closure.

He has established a Centre of Excellence for carotid interventions where he trains doctors from across India, and this training center helps spread advanced techniques throughout the country.

Dr. Atul Mathur has published over 100 research papers in respected medical journals, and his work is successfully recognized both in India and abroad.
