His educational qualifications include an MBBS: from Bangalore University, Bangalore, an MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and an FRCS in Neurosurgery from Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK.

His area of expertise lies in treating Spine Injury, Spine Surgery, Spinal Disorders, McKenzie Treatment for Spine, Spinal Fusion, Spine Mobilization, Spinal Cord Injury Treatment, Spinal Diseases, and Spinal Disc Surgery.

He is deeply interested in academics, research, and training, he has presented internationally, providing valuable perspectives on Neurological Surgery.

Dr. G Balamurali is a respected member of the General Medical Council, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, the International Spinal Cord Society,  the Neurological Society of India, the Neuron Spine Surgeons Association, Tamil Nadu Association of Neurosurgeons and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeons of India. 

He received the Prof Alan Crockard International Travel Fellowship from the Spine Section of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons in Orlando, USA. Additionally, he was presented with the Health Care Administration International Foundation Travel Fellowship in London.
