Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain has extensive experience treating many chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to: headache, neck and back pain, fibromyalgia, CRPS I and II, phantom limb pain, and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain led the charge to establish the Artemis Health Institute's Department of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain is an expert in the use and management of a wide variety of drugs, including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anti-neuropathic drugs, narcotic agents like morphine and fentanyl, disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), and biological agents like leflunomide, methotrexate, etanercept, infliximab, and others.
In addition, he assists the surgeons in the operating room with "Interventional Pain Management Procedures," performing such procedures as lumbar facet joint injections, transforaminal steroid injections, medial branch injections, sacroiliac joint injections, and SIJ injections, as well as more complex ones like percutaneous disc decompression (cervical and lumbar), adhesiolysis procedures, and others.
Interventional pain doctors are scarce, but Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain is one of the few who does Endoscopic Discectomy (Removal of Disc without any incision & Anaesthesia).
The medical professional has attended conferences and CMEs, and delivered papers at these events.
In addition to being an Executive Member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain is a member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), the Indian Association for the Study of Pain (ISSP), and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), based in the United (N.C.R).
