His educational background encompasses an MBBS from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, a DNB in General Surgery from the National Board of Examination, India, an FNB in Peripheral Vascular Surgery from Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, and an MS in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery from University of Edinburgh, UK.

His area of special interest lies in Reconstructive, Microvascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Endo Vascular Surgeon, Sclerotherapy, Cerebrovascular Surgery, IVC Filter Placement, Venous Angioplasty & Stenting and Embolization for Fibroid.

Dr. C. Chandra Sekhar has delivered numerous presentations on vascular surgery at both national and international conferences.

He is an active member of the Vascular Society of India.
