His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, a Diploma in Orthopedics from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, an MS in Orthopedics from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion and a DNB in Orthopedics from National Board of Examination, New Delhi.

He also completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Spine Surgery from Shriners Hospital, USA, a Fellowship in Adult Spine Surgery from Orthopedic and Arthritic Hospital, Canada, a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery from Sunnybrook Hospital, Canada, a Fellowship in Advanced Spine Surgery from Queens Medical Center, UK and a Fellowship in Spinal Neurosurgery from Walton Neuroscience Center, UK.

His areas of special interest lie in Spinal Surgery, Management of Spinal Fractures, Spinal Fusion Surgery, Surgery for Spine Tumors, Vertebroplasty for Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures, Management of Slipped Disc/ Sciatica and Management of Spinal Tuberculosis.

Dr. Gautam Zaveri has spoken and presented at numerous national and international symposiums. He remains active in the community, routinely conducting awareness talks and writing newspaper columns on common spine-related problems.
