His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur, an MS in General Surgery from Government Dental College, Calicut, and an MCh in Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum.

He has also completed a Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery from Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand, and a Fellowship in Pediatric and Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgery from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, USA.
