Research & Fellowships

It was in Toronto, Canada, at the Hospital for Sick Children that he completed his International Fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery.
Over the course of 26 years, he was responsible for more than 6000 neurosurgeries, some of which included the removal of complicated brain tumors and aneurysms.
He is an expert in the excision of tumors in the parts of the brain that are responsible for eloquent speech and motor function with intra op cortical stimulation-guided monitoring to provide the best possible results for patients.

Awards & Recognition

He was given the award by a committee that was made up of members from both the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) (CNS).
He operated on over 80 patients suffering from epilepsy and specialized in the use of minimally invasive techniques to treat not just epilepsy but also a wide variety of other conditions affecting the brain and spine.
He was a part of the team that performed the successful surgery to separate the spinal cords of the world-famous ischiopagus twins who were united at the sacrum in Bangalore in 2007.
