His educational background includes an MBBS from T N Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, an MS in General Surgery from Seth G. S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and an MCh in Gastrointestinal Surgery from Government Medical College, Trivandrum.
