Dr. Mayil Vahanan Natarajan is a renowned Orthopedic Surgeon with an extensive experience of more than 43 years in the field.

His educational background encompasses an MBBS from the University of Madras, Chennai, a Diploma in Orthopedics from the University of Madras, an MS in Orthopedics from the University of Madras, Chennai, an MCh in Trauma Surgery, and a PhD in Orthopedic Oncology.

His areas of special interest lie in Bone Cancer Treatment, Correction of Deformities, Musculoskeletal Pain Management, Herniated Disc, Functional Orthopedics, and Skeletal Muscle Therapy.

Dr. Mayil Vahanan Natarajan has been appointed as the seventh Vice-Chancellor of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

He first introduced the concept of Limb Salvage Surgery utilizing Custom Mega Prosthesis in 1988.

He holds the record for the highest number of Custom Mega Prosthesis surgeries performed by a single surgeon with 1700 cases.

He is an active member of the Indian Medical Association.

Dr. Mayil Vahanan Natarajan received the prestigious Padma Shri Award from the President of India, he was honored with the Dr. B. C. Roy National Award by the Medical Council of India and was recognized with the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Appreciation Award.
