His educational qualifications encompass an MBBS from JIPMER, Pondicherry, an MD in General Medicine from JIPMER, Pondicherry, an FRCPath from Royal College of Pathology, London, and an MRCP from Royal College of Physician, London. 

His areas of expertise lie in Biochemistry, Lymphomas, Hemophilia, Transfusion Medicine, Hemoglobinopathies, ITP, Myelodysplastic Syndromes, and Blood Transfusion.

He is an active member of the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
