Dr. D.S. Gambhir has a medical career spanning more than four decades, as an Interventional Cardiologist and a distinguished medical academic, researcher, and innovator.

He graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi with an MBBS and went on to earn a postgraduate degree, MD from the same University. Later he earned a DM, doctor of medicine from the same University.

He specializes in Hypertension, Heart Attack, Syncope, Heart Diseases, Balloon Angioplasty, Angiography Procedure, Irregular Heartbeat, and Blocked Arteries.

Dr. D.S. Gambhir's scholarly contributions include 115 original papers in national and international journals, chapters in textbooks, and the editing of 'Cardiology Update' in 2002 with the backing of the Cardiological Society of India.

He is an esteemed member of the Asian-Pacific Society of Cardiology, the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology, the Indian College of Cardiology, and the Cardiology Society of India.

Dr. Gambhir received the prestigious Padma Shri Award. His accolades also include the State Award from the Government of Delhi and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Delhi Medical Association.
