He has successfully performed more than 2,700 kidney transplants and 1,200 laparoscopic donor nephrectomies.
Dr. Kapoor’s expertise spans uro-oncology, kidney transplantation, endourology, and reconstructive urology for pediatric, adult, and female patients.
He pioneered the use of various laser technologies in urological surgeries, including the introduction of the KTP laser for prostate surgery and a holmium laser for treating prostate and stone diseases.
Dr. Kapoor was instrumental in establishing pediatric urology, female reconstructive urology, and laparoscopic and robotic surgeries at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, a first-of-its-kind in North India.
