His educational background encompasses an MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and an MS in General Surgery from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

He also completed a Fellowship from The International College of Surgeons, USA, a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, a Fellowship from the Obesity Surgery Society of India, India, and a Fellowship from the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, USA.
