Her educational qualifications include an MBBS from Government Medical College, Amritsar, and an MD from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.

She also completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Government Medical College, Amritsar, a Diploma in Advanced Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy from Germany, and a Fellowship from Indian Colleges of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
