He completed his MBBS and MD at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) College in Pondicherry. In 1988, Dr. Ganesh's passion for Gastroenterology was ignited when he worked briefly at CMC Vellore in the Gastroenterology Department. Following this, he pursued higher Gastroenterology training in England from 1989 to 1995.
