His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College, Tamil Nadu, an MS in General Surgery from Thanjavur Medical College, Tamil Nadu, and an MCh in Surgical Oncology from Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai.

His area of special interest lies in treating Thoracic/Lung Cancer, Soft Tissues Cancer, Genitourinary Cancer, Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Treatment, and Well Woman / Gynecological Cancer Screening.
