His education; background encompasses an MBBS from G Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, an MD in Internal Medicine from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, and a DM in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation from the University of Birmingham, UK.
