Dr. Surender Kumar Dabas is currently employed as the Senior Director & Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology & Robotic Surgery at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi, India.

Dr. Surender Kumar Dabs is an international mentor of robotic surgery and a pioneer of India's Robotic Surgical Oncology Programme. Robotic scarless surgery for the head and neck is one of his specialties, along with robotic surgery for the esophagus and lungs, the pancreas and colon, and the prostate, bladder, and kidney.

Throughout India, he has been actively engaged in instructing students on how to perform Robotic Surgeries. He has performed more robotic head and neck surgeries than anyone else in Asia, and his name appears on a long list of scholarly works from around the world. Dr. Dabas holds the position of vice president for the International Guild of Robotic and Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Kumar is a member of the International Guild of Robotic and Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgeons (IGREHNS), the Foundation of Head and Neck Oncology, and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO) (FHNO).
