Dr. Veena Kalra, one of India's leading pediatric neurologists, has earned widespread acclaim for establishing pediatric neurology as a distinct subspecialty in India.

She is a senior consultant at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.

Dr. Veena Kalra has been honored with three medals from the President of India for her service to and advancement of pediatric medicine.

She's very interested in neurocysticercosis, childhood epilepsy, cirrhosis, infections, neurometabolic and neurogenetic disorders, malnutrition, and brain development.

During her 36 years in practice, Dr. Kalra helped children and taught and managed the Pediatrics division.

Research on neurocysticercosis, learning disabilities, epilepsy, neurometabolic and neurogenetic illnesses, and lead poisoning in Indian children all benefited greatly from Dr. Veena Kalra's contributions.
