Dr. Vikas Gupta is a highly respected orthopedic surgeon with more than 28 years of experience.

Orthopaedic surgery, including joint replacement and bone marrow transplantation, are among his areas of expertise.

In India, he is revered for pioneering the first ceramic-on-ceramic wrist replacement procedure.

Nonunion Scaphoid and Kein Bocks Diseases are treated with Percutaneous Fixation (1 cm incision) and Vascularised Bone Grafting, which he pioneered.

He has performed over 6,000 upper and extremity complex hand surgeries, setting a new record.

Sincere efforts and research work on his part have earned him worldwide recognition and multiple awards.

After presenting an article titled "Wrist Arthroscopy" at the 2004 Conference of the North Zone Orthopaedic Association in Srinagar, he was awarded the prize for best paper.

For his outstanding work and expertise in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, he was also nominated for the 2007 Marquis Who's Who in Asia Award.

Two other orthopaedic organizations awarded him a traveling fellowship: the Delhi Orthopaedic Association and the Indian Orthopaedic Association.

He served as the Indian Society of Surgery for the Hand (ISSH) Secretary and Honorary Treasurer from 2012 to 2015.

At national and international conferences, he has presented nearly a hundred times.

Dr. Gupta spoke on "Congenital Anomalies of the Hand" at this year's annual conference of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society.

He is a member of the Orthopaedic Research Society of AIIMS, the Indian Rheumatology Association, the Indian Arthroscopy Society, the Indian Federation of Sports Medicine, the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Indian Rheumatology Association, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Foot Safety Association, the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, and the Madhya Pradesh Orthopaedic Association.

He devotes a lot of time to research, and his 40 articles in national and international journals are evidence of that.
