Dr. Vikram Shah is one of India’s leading orthopedic surgeons, with over 30 years of experience.

He has successfully performed 1.5 lakhs joint replacement surgeries, including around 15,000 joint replacement procedures annually, placing him among the highest in the world for this specialty.

His areas of expertise include hip joint replacements, knee joint replacements, partial knee replacements, and arthroplasty. 

In 2008, he set a world record by performing 3,000 joint replacement surgeries in a single year.

He is the Chairman, Founder, and Managing Director of Shalby Hospitals, a renowned healthcare chain with 16 hospitals across 12 cities in 7 states.

Dr. Shah developed technical innovations, including the Operation Surgeon’s Needle and the Zero Technique, which have significantly improved the outcomes of joint replacement surgeries in India. 

His inspiration behind his first hospital Shalby Orthopedic Hospital and Research Centre was Shelby Medical Center, USA, where he did his fellowship with Dr. Brice Brockin.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shalby Hospitals played a major role in providing treatment and vaccination services. 

Dr. Vikram Shah has also trained over 1,500 orthopedic surgeons worldwide and serves on the Board of Designers at Zimmer, a global leader in prosthetic joints.
