MIOT International, also known as the Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, was established on February 12, 1999, by the respected Dr. P. V. A. Mohandas, who is a recipient of the Padmashri award.

The institute has 70 beds and is staffed by dedicated doctors who specialize in treating bone and joint injuries. Their primary focus is on providing excellent care for patients with orthopedic and trauma-related issues.

Till now, the hospital has over 1000 beds that offer quaternary care across 63 specialities, and among one of the best imaging sciences departments in the country, and an advanced laboratory ranked 8th internationally.

The MIOT Hospital features 21 advanced operating rooms filled with the latest technology and tools, allowing doctors to carry out even the most complicated surgeries safely and effectively.
