The doctor gives local anesthesia to numb the area, and a thin needle is gently inserted into the testicle to aspirate tissue; the entire process usually takes 10–20 minutes. Most men feel only mild pressure, and discomfort afterward is manageable with simple pain medicine.

Risks are low but include bruising, mild pain, infection, or temporary swelling. Recovery is quick; most men return to normal activities within 24–48 hours. Wear supportive underwear, avoid heavy lifting for a couple of days, and follow your doctor’s advice on antibiotics or pain relief.
